KOREDE AZEEZ
Korede Azeez is a writer-director whose filmmaking journey started in 2018 when she joined BBC Media Action. Before then, she worked in radio for six years and in TV for a year. In 2019, she co-produced and directed her first short film ‘Tip of the Edge’ based on a short story she wrote. Since then, Korede has directed three other short films and a feature film.
In 2022, she was selected as one of six winners of the Netflix-UNESCO African Folktales Reimagined competition. Her short film, Zabin Halima, is available to watch on Netflix as part of the African Folktales Reimagined anthology.
